Questions & Answers
Does this connector allow 1 handset to ring from 2 different numbers?
This will combine 2 lines to a single phone connection and split the lines for single line 1 and line 2 connections. Your phone will have to be compatible with 2 lines to work on the combined connection.

We have a two line system coming out of the wall. The one line is our fax line & it goes to the fax & also the phone. At the wall there is a little "splitter" I'll call it & it plugs to the wall & has 2 plugs for the fax & phone. What is it called?
This is a two line splitter. This will split a two line phone line to two single line connections and a combined connection.

A typical phone terminal has 4 wires going to it. lines 2 & 3 and lines 1 & 4. I want a splitter that will separate lines 2 & 3 from lines 1 & 4. I want one terminal of the splitter to use the phone signal from lines 2 & 3 and the other terminal to use the signal from lines 1 & 4. If the lines 2 & 3 are shorted then lines 1 & 4 should work. A ordinary splitter will just split the phone signal from lines 2 & 3 to two signals but both will be from lines 2 & 3.
This splitter has one port for line 1, one port for line 2, and the third is wired for both line 1 and 2.
