Key inputs sometimes stick
I bought this Cables To Go adapter to use with a Cables To Go KVM switch, Window XP PC, and Windows 7 PC. The Windows 7 PC only had USB ports and no PS2 so I though this would be prefect. The adapter does work but I have noticed when I press a key using my Windows 7 machine (which this adapter is connected to) the input for the key I press sometimes sticks. The problem is easily solved by pressing the key again but it's a bit annoying. Not sure if it is a Windows 7 issue with this adapter or the adapters issue since I haven't tried it on my Windows XP machine.

It Does Exactly What It's Supposed To Do
I connected a brand new Windows 8.1 machine to an old HP 4500 Laserjet and there were no issues. The OS found it immediately and the product works very well.

This thing alowed my wife to continue to use an old PS/2 keyboard that she refused to give up on a laptop that didn't have any PS/2 suppport. It invisable, it works, and she doesn't know it's there. What's not to like?

Wrong Application
The cable had connection problems with the Belkin Flip switch I was trying to use it with. I have just ordered a similar item from Belkin and will see if that one works. If so I will return this one.

Worked perfectly
This adapter fit our need perfectly, allowing our users to keep the keyboard and mouse to which they were accustomed even though their new computers had only USB ports.

Actually works (unlike some others)!
This cable works and works extremely well. I have an old programmable keyboard that I really love and was afraid that I may have to give it up for a newer model with less features. I bought a green colored adapter from another source that was supposed to work for keyboard or mouse, but didn't work at all for anything. I highly recommend this dual adapter.

I have a HP desktop with PS2 connections and a Dell desktop with USB connections. These are going into a KVM switch with PS2 connections. I have the Dell (USB)connected with an adapter similar to your adapter. The KVM switch will switch everything except the mouse on the Dell (USB)... Question, will your adapter handle both the mouse and keyboard from my Dell (USB)? Thank you.... Jim @
I would recommend 32185 to use with a KVM switch. The 32185 will handle both PS/2 mouse and keyboard from a KVM through a single USB port. This adapter is best for connecting a regular PS/2 keyboard and mouse to a USB port.

I am trying to use this with a Win98 laptop, and need a driver for it. Win98 recognizes it as a human interface adapter, but wants an .inf file to install it. Where can I find one?
This adapter is not compatible with Windows 98.

Can I connect the USB to PS/2 adapter model 27225 to a symbols barcode scanner with PS/2 connectors for mouse and keyboard?
We would recommend using 32185 for barcode scanners. Part 27225 is only for PS/2 mice and keyboards.
