Works great
I used this with HDMI output from Lenovo and HP laptops to connect monitors with Displayport input. Worked right out of the package, just what I needed. It securely clicks in and doesn't fall out of the HDMI port.

Can I used this Device to connect my Roku, or other HDMI output device into my iMac to use it as a 4k Display?
You would want to discuss this with Apple to verify the iMac can be used as a display. This product will convert a HDMI output to a Displayport, that is its designed function.

What DisplayPort version is supported? My Samsung CRG9 monitor requires DP 1.4. I'm trying to connect my HP laptop via the HDMI port to my Samsung via DP.
This device is compliant to version 1.2 but is not certified.

My oculus rift s has a display port male end ment to plug in to my laptop. Unfortunately my laptop only has HDMI female end. Will this convert and not degrade the FPS.
This adapter is rated at 4k 30, so if you are using that resolution or less, that is what it will pass. if you are trying to pass higher framerates than 60hz, you will not be able to use an adapter.
