There Is A New Modular Cabling System On Campus
We were first introduced to RapidRun two years ago during construction for a new Public Safety Services building on campus; the design consultant on the job mentioned RapidRun as an alternative for A/V cabling. We decided to use the cabling for data projectors in the classrooms as well as for DVD/VHS combos in the podiums due to the ease of getting the cable down the conduit and the option to upgrade to new technology in the future by way of changing out the flying leads.
During the installation, RapidRun was super easy to get up and down the conduit without a pull string. Once the installation was complete, we were very pleased with the performance of the product.
We definitely have plans to use RapidRun for other applications. We recently ordered it for our Health Sciences building that is nearing completion. This Fall, we will break ground on a new library building for which we are also considering RapidRun.
We are happy with our decision to use RapidRun and would recommend it to others who need an A/V cabling system that is simple to use and saves money.
Sincerely,
